Pay registration online

You can renew your vehicle or boat registration online using an accepted card.

To avoid a late fee, make sure you pay on or before the due date listed on your registration notice.

It's important that your registration remains current as it's an offence to drive an unregistered vehicle.

The registration renewal notice will show if your vehicle needs a certificate of inspection (such as heavy vehicles and personalised transport vehicles). If the certificate of inspection requirement remains outstanding, you will not be able to make your registration renewal payment.

Renew your registration online:

• using your payment reference number
• using your registration number and customer reference number.

Change your registration details online

You can change your registration details online, such as your CTP insurance provider or registration term. These changes will come into effect when you next renew your registration.

If your registration is due for renewal and you have received your registration notice, a new payment reference number may display on the screen once the change has been made. This payment reference number must be used to make your registration payment when you pay your registration online or with BPAY.
